Is getting a degree worth it these days?

Sure, getting a degree might help you gained better footing when you first enter the workforce but I’m just curious is there still a need?

Most of my friends with a degree end up doing something irrelevant to their degrees?

So then does this justify the cost and time spent achieving a degree?

I think it’s still worth to get a degree regardless if you are going to use it. Most employees see degree as a way to benchmark if you are able to dedicate your time to growing your career. It’s also an unsaid way to measure determination.
